PLYMOUTH, MA – October 27, 2016 – Manomet is pleased to announce the promotion ofManomet is pleased to announce the promotion of Constance de Brun to Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer (COO/CFO). In her new role, de Brun is responsible for leading all internal operations so that Manomet can most effectively advance its mission of applying science and engaging people to sustain our world.  She will also continue to have overall responsibility for Manomet’s finance, human resources, information technology, facilities, and office administration functions.

“Creating the position of COO/CFO is a pivotal moment for Manomet and there is no one better qualified for it than Constance,” said John Hagan, Manomet’s President. “Constance’s leadership on sound fiscal management, efficient operations, and business planning over her eight years here have fully prepared her for this crucial role.  I look forward to working with her, as I focus my time and energy on supporting the work of our exceptional staff through fundraising, new initiatives and strategy development to create a more sustainable future.”

De Brun joined Manomet in October 2008 as Director of Finance & Operations, bringing with her expertise in nonprofit program management, business strategy and finance management. Prior to Manomet, she was Associate Director of Conservation Services at The Trust for Public Land in Boston and also served as Assistant Treasurer of the Conservation Campaign. De Brun holds a B.A. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Simmons School of Management. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children (ages 5 and 3) or birdwatching, skiing or scuba diving, preferably in exotic locations.

“Conservation and sustainability are my passions, so I’m honored to be given this opportunity to help this organization continue its growth and success,” said de Brun. “Working closely with John and the Board, my goal is to make Manomet’s vision and strategic priorities a reality.
