Manomet Senior Program Leader Eric Walberg and Program Manager Jackie Sartoris will give a presentation on climate change and local adaptation strategies in Blue Hill, Maine, on Wednesday, April 25th.

 

The free event begins at 6:30 pm and is being presented by the Blue Hill Heritage Trust, a community-based land conservation organization.

 

Walberg and Sartoris work study climate adaptation strategies in New England. Walberg will open the presentation with an overview of climate change and an explanation of Manomet’s work in the field.

 

Sartoris, who is based in Maine, will discuss a survey she is conducting with local governments to assess climate change readiness. She will also describe her work to help a network of land trusts incorporate climate change planning into their land acquisition strategy.

 

The event is being co-sponsored by Downeast Audubon and will be held at the Blue Hill Public Library.
