Spring is coming—are you ready? Join us for our new birding crash course series and hone your birding skills.

Each course will be held at our Headquarters on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm and will be tailored towards intermediate birders 16 years and older who want to expand upon their foundational birding knowledge.

The courses will be led by Manomet’s Lead Instructor Evan Dalton, who has been studying nature since he was allowed to wander into the woods alone. A dedicated ornithologist and educator, he has traveled throughout the hemisphere in the pursuit of birds and has been teaching nature and science for over a decade for audiences from kindergarten to the university level.

The weather seems to be getting warmer and the days are certainly getting longer, which means that it’s a great time to get a step up on your birding skills. The first course will be held this Thursday evening, February 25, and will focus on the ins and outs of identifying gulls—a skill which will definitely add some depth to your winter birding ventures. Register today!

On March 24, we will host a course on birding by ear, and our April 7 course will give you all the tools you will need to become a warbler expert.  You can learn more about all of these courses and other upcoming events here.

Each course costs $30 for Manomet Members (people that have donated $50 dollars or more in the last 12 months) and $40 dollars for Non-Members.
