With just over a month left before the sun sets on FY2015, we are counting on supporters like you to help us achieve our goal. We need to raise an additional $70,000 to close the fiscal year on sound footing and reach $900,000 for Annual Fund.

Grants

 

The Downeast Fisheries Partnership (DFP) was thrilled to receive a $100,000 grant from the Broad Reach Fund of the Maine Community Foundation. The Downeast Fisheries Partnership (DFP) is a major, long-term initiative that is re-establishing connections among the watersheds, coastal marine waters, and communities of eastern Maine so people can sustain themselves forever, fishing. With this vital funding, DFP is setting the foundation for transformative change in eastern Maine, engaging key stakeholders in the development of a collective vision.

 

The Elmina B. Sewall Foundation has awarded Manomet a $250,000 Integration of Environment and Human Wellbeing Grant in support of the Downeast Fisheries Partnership. It was tremendous to receive feedback that applicants like Manomet challenged the Foundation to, “Think deeply about how integration of environment and human wellbeing translates into consequential action on the ground.”

 

The Seth Sprague Educational & Charitable Foundation has granted Manomet $50,000 in general operating funds. These unrestricted funds are critical to Manomet, and all nonprofits, as they allow an organization to identify the greatest need within and apply funds to those needs.
