Two senior Manomet scientists were featured in a climate change series this week on public radio station WCAI.
Senior climate change scientist Hector Galbraith and Banding Director Trevor Lloyd-Evans both appeared in the series, which was produced by WGBH/WCAI science reporter Dr. Heather Goldstone.
Galbraith spoke about climate change impact and adaptation. Lloyd-Evans spoke primarily about climate change impact on birds.
“There’s a noticeable, measurable change, which is amazing to me,” Lloyd-Evans said in the series. “I learned that evolution worked extremely slowly, and it still does. But natural selection can work quite quickly.”
The segment on the disconnect between climate science and public perception can be heard here. The installment on adaptation – for humans and wildlife — can be heard here.
