The Gift of a Lifetime

There is so much to appreciate about the natural world, from its many benefits to its remarkable beauty. You can help sustain this world for future generations and leave a lasting legacy by remembering Manomet in your will or other estate plans. It could be the most important charitable gift you ever make.

Bequests

Bequests are the most common planned gift. Simply decide what portion of your estate you wish to leave to Manomet, then ask your attorney or financial planner to add a bequest to your will or living trust using this sentence:

“I bequeath ____% of my estate (or $__________) to Manomet, Inc., P.O. Box 1770, Manomet, MA 02345 (EIN #22-3051362).”

With a bequest, you’re in control. You retain your assets during your lifetime, and you can change your mind at any time. So take care of your loved ones and friends first, and then remember Manomet.

Beneficiary Designations

You can also name Manomet as a beneficiary of your life insurance policies, retirement plans, and bank or brokerage accounts.

Just ask your insurance company, retirement plan administrator, bank, or financial institution for a change-of-beneficiary form, add Manomet as a beneficiary and return. It’s that easy! And like a bequest, you retain your assets during your lifetime and can change your mind anytime.

Other Estate Gifts

There are various additional planned giving options, such as Charitable Remainder Trusts and Charitable Lead Trusts. Manomet recommends consulting with your attorney or financial advisor to see if any of these options are right for you.
