Timothy Sharpe
Tim joined Manomet in 2023 as Vice President of Philanthropy bringing more than 30 years of experience on-staff and consulting with some of the world’s largest conservation organizations. His life’s work has been helping match generous, dedicated and philanthropic people with the organizations, programs and projects that are most important to them. He believes that at its heart, philanthropy is all about helping people make an impact via their chosen organizations. The result should bring great pleasure to the donor.
From 2008-2019, Tim served as Senior Director of Strategic Philanthropy for World Wildlife Fund based in Washington, DC, and as Global Philanthropy Advisor for WWF International based in Gland, Switzerland. He consulted with independent WWF national offices in Asia, Africa, South America, North America and Europe in support of initiatives to launch or improve major gifts development programs. From 2003 to 2007, Tim was Director of Gift Planning for WWF-US, helping build a bequest and planned gift program that has grown to become one of its most important sources of unrestricted revenue for global conservation.
In years prior, Tim consulted with many organizations across the nonprofit spectrum including National Parks Conservation Association, National Wildlife Federation, Greenpeace, Defenders of Wildlife, National Public Radio, PBS, KQED-San Francisco and more.
Tim began his career in public broadcasting at WGBH in Boston and worked for PBS in Washington. He holds a BA from Swarthmore College and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
