Join Manomet research technician Jessie Batchelder to learn more about where your local seafood comes from at this upcoming Canopy Farms Science Café as part of their Aquaculture Literacy Series!
Canopy Farms’ Science Cafés, one of three event types offered as part of the Aquaculture Literacy Series, are designed to bring Maine’s local community members closer to the aquaculture producers keeping the Gulf of Maine ecosystem healthy and sustainable. On June 6, Jessie Batchelder will join Max Burtis of Ferda Farms and Jordan Kramer of Winnegance Oyster Farm to discuss our work with partners to expand quahog aquaculture in Maine and test its viability as a way to diversify shellfish resources. This free, in-person event will take place at the ZaoZe Cafe and Market in Brunswick, Maine, and is open to the public.
